You can choose a set speed and following distance from the traffic ahead of you, and the system will automatically maintain that distance by slowing or even stopping your NX when necessary.
3. Lane Departure Alert
This program has a Steering Assist that is designed to sense and correct inadvertent lane drifting before the vehicle crosses over the painted lines. A camera mounted on the upper portion of the front windshield watches the NX’s wheels in relation to where the lane markings are. The program is capable of alerting you when drifting occurs and using brief corrective steering maneuvers to help guide you back into the center of your intended lane.
4. Road Sign Assist
This program uses a camera built into your NX to detect, read, and display road signs you pass by. The signs the Assist detects will be digitized onto your NX’s seven-inch Multi-Information Display screen. When the system displays a speed limit sign for you, the Assist can warn you when your vehicle’s speed is over the posted limit plus the threshold you set.
5. Intelligent High Beams
These are designed to maximize visibility both for you and for other drivers on the road. When the roads around you are free of other traffic, the high beams will automatically kick on without your input. If headlights from the oncoming lane or taillights up ahead are detected, the high beams will automatically dim as a courtesy to other drivers.
Other systems such as the Pedestrian Detection software use these high beams to increase their visibility and accuracy to help better alert you of obstacles.
