2021 Lexus LC Hybrid
The Lexus LC is a sleek-looking coupe that offers the perfect combination of sportiness and comfort. The hybrid version packs the same kind of punch as the gas-powered versions, with quick acceleration and plenty of passing power. The 2021 LC H has a new, lighter suspension reducing its overall weight. It also has more tech in the cabin, upgraded electronic front shocks, and a more rigid anti-roll bar. All LC models also now have active cornering assist and active rear steering.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The LC H comes in one trim level with several packages available to add features. The base LC H has 20-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels, flush door handles, triple beam LED headlights, and blue-tinted badging to set it apart from the gas-power LC models. The Sport Package adds a glass or carbon-fiber roof and performance brake pads. The Dynamic Handling Package adds to the Sport Package with 21-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler that will automatically deploy when you hit certain speeds, and carbon-fiber doorsill plates.
Engine (Power)
Power for the LC H comes from a 3.5-liter gas engine and two electric motors. A lithium-ion battery sits under the floor. Together these generate 354 horsepower. Lexus gives the powertrain a continuously variable automatic transmission and a four-speed automatic, which combine to provide the driver the feeling of a ten-speed transmission.
Performance
Any driver will love their time behind the wheel of the LC H. The steering system is perfectly responsive and you'll need just a light step on the gas to get a response from the engine. These two features work to create a compelling driving experience. This hybrid has the power to go from zero to 60 in just 4.7 seconds, while the new suspension makes it feel nimble around corners.
Interior
The Lexus LC H has room for four. Front bucket seats provide a comfortable place to sit with lots of support, and it has two small rear seats. The long list of standard features includes dual-zone automatic climate control, aluminum pedals, power-adjustable heated and ventilated seats, and leather upholstery. The Touring Package adds a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel and premium leather-trimmed seats. Adding the Sport Package gets you power-adjustable sport seats in the front. Standard infotainment and tech features include a 10.3-inch display screen with an integrated navigation system that includes Lexus Enform Destination Assist. A touch pad for controlling the infotainment functions sits on the center console. You also get two USB ports, Amazon Alexa, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, satellite radio, and HD radio. A 13-speaker Mark Levinson surround-sound stereo system is optional.
Safety Features
The 2021 Lexus LC H comes standard with a comprehensive suite of active safety systems. It has adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with pedestrian detection and automatic braking when needed in emergencies, lane-keep assist, and a blind-spot monitor. You also get rear cross-traffic alert and lane-departure warning. The Touring Package adds front and rear parking sensors. A parking assistance feature is also available, along with a head-up display.
