Engineering a performance vehicle that can carve through slalom courses as deftly as it dominates straightaways requires optimal balance. It was this commitment that led to innovative components, including lightweight titanium valves and high-strength forged connecting rods, as well as a lightning-fast eight-speed Sport Direct-Shift transmission with downshift rev-matching. TORQUE VECTORING DIFFERENTIAL
Putting added control into the hands of the driver, the GS F is the first Lexus sedan to feature a Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD). With three driver-selectable modes—Standard, Slalom and Track—the TVD responds in one-thousandth of a second to vary torque distribution according to cornering conditions. By sending more power to the outside rear tire, it helps propel the GS F around the turn for enhanced agility while also helping you to hold your line with ultimate precision.
STANDARD MODE
When selected, this mode strikes an optimum balance between agility and stability.
SLALOM MODE
Giving greater emphasis to steering responsiveness, Slalom mode provides the drive feel and agility of a much smaller vehicle.
TRACK MODE
Responding to the demands of high-speed circuit driving, this mode helps ensure that the vehicle holds its line, for confident acceleration and cornering.

DYNAMIC GAUGE CLUSTER
Keeping up with the rapid revs is no small feat. That's why a digital tachometer was implemented in this race-ready gauge cluster. Readouts include performance data such as drive mode, gear position, G-force, lap times and torque distribution. Additionally, this in-dash display offers multimedia linkage so that you can view incoming calls, current song titles and more.

Drive Mode Select's Sport S mode alters the powertrain by holding lower gears longer and providing more dynamic throttle response. Sport S+ mode tightens the suspension and modifies the steering feel.

The most comprehensive safety system ever offered by Lexus, Lexus Safety System+ is designed to help pave the way to a world with fewer collisions and better-informed drivers. An integrated suite of class-leading standard active safety equipment,* the system is designed to help in certain circumstances, from providing pedestrian alerts to preventing lane drift.
PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM* WITH PEDESTRIAN DETECTION*
This system is engineered to detect a vehicle or pedestrian in the path of your Lexus under certain conditions. Should the system detect a pedestrian or determine a frontal collision is imminent, it's designed to activate an audible and visual alert while automatically preparing Brake Assist* for increased braking response. If the driver does not brake in time, the system is designed to automatically begin braking before impact and, in some cases, can even brake the vehicle to a stop.
LANE DEPARTURE ALERT* WITH LANE KEEP ASSIST
This system utilizes a high-resolution camera to monitor visible lane markings and determine the vehicle's position within a lane. When an inadvertent lane departure, or potential departure due to swaying, is detected at speeds above 32 mph, the system vibrates the steering wheel and attempts to alert the driver with audible and visual warnings. If the driver doesn't respond, Steering Assist takes temporary corrective measures with a slight pull on the steering wheel. If All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control* is engaged, the Lane Keep Assist function will go one step further by actively steering the vehicle to help the driver remain in the center of the visibly marked lane.
ALL-SPEED DYNAMIC RADAR CRUISE CONTROL*
This system uses radar and camera technology to help you maintain a preset speed and following distance from the vehicle ahead. Whether at highway speeds or in stop-and-go traffic, the system can detect if you get closer than the preset distance and automatically slow your vehicle—even to a complete stop. If driving at highway speeds and the road ahead clears, your Lexus returns to its preset speed.
INTELLIGENT HIGH-BEAM HEADLAMPS*
To help provide greater visibility for you as well as other drivers, intelligent high-beam headlamps offer added illumination to help keep you focused on the road. When the road ahead is clear, the system defaults to high-beam mode, then temporarily switches to low beams when it senses the headlamps or taillamps of vehicles ahead.
